This info has been helpful. My bike is at the dealer getting the 5k check-over, and they are installing one while they have the bike.

Hey guys check out this post from fish eye for removing the rubber headlight bucket mounts and mounting solid to cure the vibrating headlight.

I did this on my Springer while installing a daymaker headlight. It was simple and she's rock solid now!   :2vrolijk_21:
Also a simple add-on to help cars see you better is the Dynamic Ringz for the bullet signals from Custom Dynamics. Ck out the last post on the link, I have pictures with my LED and Ringz lit up.

Thanks for this latest info.
Mine is at the dealer getting the light installed. I called them with this part # and info. They were not familiar with this part or issue. Hopefully it can be fixed before I get it back.

Is the vibration considered a "problem"?  I think it's great....The oem Breakout light does it as well....Great safety feature.  when I'm behind someone or coming up to an intersection, the cagers can't help but see me with the light bouncing up an down....no way I would want to get rid of it....

I had found with the led fitted the shake is annoying for me as the rider.  Only when it gets dark... During the day no issues!  ???

Ah, perhaps the LED version does shake a lot more than the oem unit....I don't have any experience with the LED yet.  If so, I can see how they could bug you as the rider !

I used nylon spacers in place of the rubber on the front 2 studs holding the bucket.  Left the back one rubber.  It cut out about 85% of the bounce/shake, but still has a little cushion.  I figure they rubber mounted the light for a reason so I didn't want to eliminate 100% of that.

When installing the Daymaker on a Breakout you MUST also install Harley part number 67700059 Headlamp Vibration Damper, this compltely does away with all vibration issues. The headllight on the Breakout is a springer headlight as such there is a slot inside the headlamp that the Damper slides into. Cost about $7.00.

Either nothing - this is intended for international models
or
clip it to one of the yellow or red lines.

The extra wire will light the very small yellow led in front of the daymaker, it is called position lamp.
