I just ordered the daymaker for my breakout, and i had it on my cvo springer and my cvo street glide, and it's a great mod! Huge improvement in night time visibility!

I have had one installed on my BO. Once it was correctly aligned it is definitely well worth the spend for night riding visibility. It also looks good on the bike (get a chrome one not a black one).

I have installed a Daymaker (Black) on my Breakout, installation is easy, just Plug 'n Play. But due to the fact that the headlight housing
is installed on rubber bushings a lot of People driving Towards me or in font of me had problems being blinded, while due to the fact that
the light is much brighter the rocking up and down of the headlight is producing bright flashes
( I have checked this it myself by after getting lots of comments :furious2: at traffic lights, I asked a friend to drive the bike while driving in front with my car).
So I blocked the shock absorber by pushing a thick piece of rubber between the internal bracket and the housing and now the problem is gone :mango: .

Hi would also like to see a pic of what youve done with the piece of rubber to stop the shaking of the headlamp housing ... our local dealer principle rode my BO the other day to check my complaint and couldnt believe the movement in the headlight beam ... considering the price-tag on these machines its quite pathetic what theyve come up with on the headlamp bracket!

Could this shaking also be a good thing and make us more visible to oncoming cagers?

I have the Daymaker on my Breakout and it's much brighter than stock.  Only small issue is it bounces  a bit.  Someone else mentioned the same issue and he used a piece of rubber to secure it.  I'll probably attempt it, if I get complaints from motorist.

I put a Day-Maker on my Breakout a few months ago and it cause a fault code and the red fault to illuminate.
I ended up returning it and getting a refund, dealer said it was caused by the Day-Maker not pulling enough amps.

Did you have to use a load equalizer to prevent this?

Just curious because I really liked it, but didn't want to ride around with the fault light illuminated.

Thanks,

Ron

Went ahead and purchased the DayMaker, what a difference. Awesome headlight. No fault code on the speedo. just when you run diagnostics. BCM codes. but I have LED turn signal bulbs too.

I just spent 16.00 for the BL-43C130 Brite-lites bulb. Seriously nice improvement in lighting quality. I want the day maker eventually but while I am saving up with the pipes as a priority, I do recommend this as an alternative to the crappy stock bulb.

Keep an eye on it, with all that extra heat...I have heard of cases where guys go to a much higher wattage bulb and it starts melting/discoloring their light lens....
