Rinehart 3 1/2 or 4"
« on: May 28, 2013, 09:24:06 AM »

I am putting Rinehart True Duals on my 12 CVO Ultra and I am wondering if I should go with the 4"? I had the 3 1/2" on my 11 Street Glide and really liked the deep sound of the pipes.
I am wondering if the 4" are going to be the same or even louder? Any input from anyone who has experienced both sizes would be appreciated.

I'e run both on my SERK4 / 117 ci motor as well as BUB 7 3.5 TD.  .In my experience, the Rinehart 4" sound lower, more bass.  You lose the 3.5" Rinehart raspy, crackling noise on rapid decel.  I much perfer the 4" cans.  And they look better with my extended bags.  FWIW

I run the 4" can's and they have a very nice deep sound.  I can't speak to the 3 1/2" but the 4" look really nice with the bags.   ::)

Thanks for your input. I had ordered the 4" cans last week and was hoping I didn't make a mistake so I thought I would ask for some opinions on here.

You made the right decision.  :2vrolijk_21:  I don't think you would have liked the looks of the 3 1/2".  ;)

Yes, I figured I would like the look of the 4" but I also was unsure of the sound. I am hoping that they sound lower than the 3 1/2's.

Definitely have a lower, fuller sound than the 3 1/2".
