2007 110 mpg figures, issues
« on: October 05, 2006, 06:23:34 PM »

Hello all,  I don't have a CVO but thought some of you might have the info I need.  I am considering the HD 110 kit for my '07 Street Glide.  The mileage figures on the 96" are not that impressive already.  What kind of mpg figures are you, who have a 2007 CVO, getting with that new 110?

Wife has a FLHRSE3 and she is getting a least 50 MPG. The first trip she made was around 300 mile and she got over 50 MPG. So once the bike is broke in I feel it will do a little better. The bike is stock as far as motor and exhaust. If you mod motor and exhaust not sure what it will do to MPG. Most people either tune for performance or touring mileage.

That 50 mpg must be on a stock bike and riding like a old woman. My FLHTCUSE2 guzzles fuel but that is most likely due to the new ecm map, high flow, and slip on's. I am probably only getting 30 mpg when riding responsibly !! I did get much better mileage when the bike was stock.

Ok ---

got 3k miles on my 07 b&O and NORMAL mpg is 33-35 - very non-agressive driving.

just rode the the texas 3 sisters  (fm 335,336,337) last weekend at 35-50mph and got 40 mph - air temp 90.

you must turn off the engine down hill to get 50... lol.

FYI,

To date mine is still stock & my best was 42mpg, but on average I consistantly get about 35mpg.

She not old at least not yet. I do not ride responsible at all and she follows behind me. We went on the Road Candy tour and she average 49 MPG. Got to remember stock Bike and it weighs a 100 lbs less than the Ultra.

humm....

240 lbs. here wet -- maybe I'd get 45mpg if I weighed 190.

No kidding!  I did not get that on my Stage 1 '05 Road King.  My stock '07 Street Glide can get 44 if I am very careful but goose it for a bit and I am around 39.  I was asking because in the 2007 Model year it shows strangely high mpg figures for the CVO RK bikes:

Stock 96 = 32.5/44.0  (city/Hwy)
CVO       = 53.5/37.7

That just sounds weird to me.  But, the figures for the Stock 96 are pretty much accurate.   I would be shocked, but happy, if i could get anywhere near 50 on a stock 110 setup.

Don't the stock CVO's come with a high-flow a/c?

I was talking to one of the reps at the expo in Rapid this year.  He said he was getting just over 50 mpg doing break-in miles on a SERK3.  Of course that means limiting rpm a good bit.  With closed-loop O2 sniffers I don't think it is unreasonable.

.... Previous years (CVO Bikes) did have the high flow filters but now HD needs to be careful due to EMISSIONS regulations !!!
I believe the only CVO bike to come from factory w/hi-flo filter was one year of the SEFB (believe it to be the '06) other then that model/year all the others came w/regular filters.
