« on: June 11, 2013, 01:31:52 PM »

I have a 2009 FLHTCUSE4, what are the best short antennas and how can I boost my CB, while I'm at it, when I first got the bike the radio would cut off when I spoke to the passenger, now I can still hear it.
any help would be gratefull

J&M makes really good antennas...I had them on my '07 CUSE.  Didn't use the CB much, but when I did, it worked good.

I was going through the same issues with my cb antenna also. Actually I have a sierra electronics antenna with a splitter that's goes under the fairing. I bought a SWR meter. Had to buy some adapters to make everything fit to the stock CD module. The readings I got with the antenna were between 9 and 10 on the meter but should've been between 1.5-2.0. I found another antenna by fire stick. The one I got was a fire stick II that had an adjustable tuner on the end of the antenna. I adjusted the small screw on the end of the intent to the furthest point. My reception now is excellent.

Just remember that the shorter your cb antenna is, the worse your reception will be.
