Power Vision PV-1
« on: June 11, 2013, 11:55:47 PM »

While I'm still recovering, I am going to try and start prepping the king for the road.

I had a power vision PV-1 on my 2013 FLHX and loved it.
I am wondering if the same tuner is compatible with the 2013 CVO road king.
I have already unlocked it from the other bike so it is ready to go.
Anyone with any experience with this tuner.
I did see they were usable on the 2012s.

Just a heads up, all I want to do is gut the stock mufflers and be able to get rid of the popping if needed.

As always, thanks.

Yes, if you got it unmarried from your previous bike, it'll work fine.  Just call Jamie at FuelMoto for a new map.

Since you had it unmarried from the other bike, you should be all set.  I really like the PV tuner.  I helped DynoJet Beta test it on my previous 2008 FLHT and am now using it on my 2010 FLHXSE.  Works great.

Thanks for the replies. I wasn't sure if it was usable on the 2013 CVOs.
The bike is stock at the moment so I don't know what good a tune would do at this point,
but I will be removing the plug from the exhaust cans soon though.

I don't know what it costs to "unmarry" the PV-1 from your previous bike, but it costs $200 for an additional license in case you can't unmarry it for some reason.  And the PV-1 to my knowledge is pretty much exactly the same as the PV-2 except the cords are different.  For example, I use my PV-2 for my bike and my wife's bike, but I needed to buy a different adapter cord for her seventy two because it doesn't fit my 13' Breakout.  other than the cords I don't think there is any difference at all between the two models (at least that is what I have heard).
