Spot light problem
« on: June 12, 2013, 10:21:42 AM »

I have a 2002 HD Ultra Classic. One of the spot lights doesn't work. It is not the bulb. With the bulb unplugged and the switch turned on, I have 12 volts at the lamp . The second I plug the 12 volt wire to the bulb the 12 volts goes away. I ran a wire from the 12 volt wire of the other side and the lamp works fine. any ideas?

Sounds like a bad connection on that side. As soon as you put a load on it the 12v drops to something less. Trace the wires back. Could be a broken/chafed wire or a loose connector.

Thanks so much. It was a bad connection right behind the head light.
