Sore Feet
« on: June 12, 2013, 10:40:33 AM »

Has anyone else experienced sore feet on the pressure points after extended riding?  If so what did you determine the cause was?

Maybe its just me, I never seen anyone else complain about it before.

Might be a seat issue or how far you have to reach for your floorboards.

1. Try some different boots.
2. Get the extension for your highway pegs so you can rest your heal on the floorboard and ball of foot on the highway pegs, or use just the highway pegs.
3. Get the floorboard extenders that move your floorboards outward by one inch on each side.
4. Don't ride barefoot and drag your feet.

I've been having various foot/leg/tendon issues...my massage therapist suggested a stretch...basically, sitting on your heals with your toes pointed back...pretty much got rid of any pain and discomfort from sitting or riding (and 'shin splints' as well) for extended periods

I use the cruise a lot so that I can move around and change all the pressure points

Couple of things....

- Riding's like exercise.  If you plan to be on the bike for a while, stretch before you get on.

- Sitting on muscle is much more comfortable than sitting on fat.

- Seams and/or piping on a seat can play hell with comfort.

- Never have anything in your back pockets when you're riding.

- Dedicated riding pants don't have back pockets.  No pockets means no seams between your butt and the seat.

- Floorboard extenders are your friend.

- Change positions early and often.

- If the pain persists, see a doctor.  You could well have a clot or a pinched nerve.

Appreciate all of the replies and even the sarcasm.  My feet are actually hurting as if i had been walking on them all day and not riding
