If you enter Utah on Interstate 70 heading west, take exit 214 to Highway 128 into Moab.  It follows the Colorado River, and is an incredibly scenic ride...  One of the most scenic roads in the state...

Absolutely!

Bryce is even more beautiful.  And these are just camera photos.

YESS..  If you can time it to be there in the late afternoon the sun and colors are Excellent!  Middle of the day will be HOT there is no shade, make sure to cover up and use the sun screen.  If you have time and the recommend the national Parks Pass and go to Dead Horse Point in Canyon Lands.
Also worth it is Capitol Reef N.P. They have petroglyph's that you ride right up to, which I think are pretty cool!

Now for the good part is the Escalante Staircase Hwy 12 down to Kanab UT. Absolutely Beautiful..!!  You ride a Hog back with Unforgettable View..!!
Save time to stop and take pics! BTW Hwy 12 is a great quality road 100+ if you can afford it *S.

Bryce canyon , Zion and Arches are a must see.
Route 95 from Blanding to Hanksville is also worth the detour.

We rode this road also.  Another very scenic route.  We stayed at a fantastic bed and breakfast in Torrey, Utah.

Along Hwy. 12 - Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument...

We had never been to Utah.  I am sure we will return.  We also traveled to north to Flaming Gorge, near Vernal, UT.  Then on to Yellowstone, Wyoming, Montana (Beartooth Pass), South Dakota and on...
