Any accessories on your CVO Street Glide king tour pak?
« on: June 13, 2013, 09:22:36 PM »

I just purchased a color matched King Tour Pak for my 11 CVO Street Glide which should be here tomorrow! :bananarock:

Has anyone installed accessories on the king tour pak such as external lighting or luggage rack? How about accessories inside, power source, liner, organizer, lights?
Would appreciate any feedback, pictures are always nice!  :2vrolijk_21: If you installed lighting or anything power related did you install it? How did you hook it up?

Thanks in advance!

Erich

On Ruby's King, I just have the liner, the lid organizer, and the Ultra Brace.

Have been thinking about a rack, but, don't want a Kury or a HD one...so I looked and looked...and found this: http://www.bikernet.com/pages/MetalSports_Billet_TourPak_Rack.aspx

I think the rack is $350ish.

And a link to the Ultra Brace:

I installed lots of goodies, check the pic below.  Spent the weekend testing and building my own harness.  Search the forum to find threads about specific wiring issues. You need lots of patience, and the correct crimping tool to install the connectors on the wires.  The right ones are not cheap.  I spent a few weeks reviewing posts and putting my parts list together.

I have the liner, removable bag, lid organizer, smoked side lights, the color-match LED spoiler (on the bags too), and the Ride Time Technology LED light bar and Turnz modulator on mine. I didn't want the Ultra light bar because I didn't want my SESG to look like an Ultra. I also have the Screamin' Eagle script medallion on it that I got on here.

I will never put a rack on my Tour Pak... I don't want to spoil the clean lines of the SESG.

You can see the little LED light bar right under the lid. It has 125 VERY BRIGHT LEDs, and with the Turnz modulator the right and left 25 also function as turn signals. When i hit. The brakes, the vehicle behind knows it! I had to fab my own 5-wire harness with brake, run, ground, left turn, and right turn wires. I made it detachable with a 6-pin Duetsch connector right behind the seat. The spoiler LEDs also function as run/brake - so there's a lot of light back there while keeping a clean, uncluttered look.

Thanks Gents for posting the pics and info!! I really like the smoked LED side lights and the LED color matched spoiler.  :2vrolijk_21: The Ride Time Technology LED light bar is clean and neat, and I'm sure is plenty bright. I'll check that out.

Ken,
Where do you plug into, the connector under the seat for the rear turn signals?

Thanks again!

Need to pick up a passenger backrest. I'm thinking about sending the tour pak rack out for powder coating as I think it would like MUCH better in black!

Yep... I got the turn signals from that harness, and the run/brake/ground from the little pigtail under the left side cover. Made my own harness that exits out the rear under the seat, with a 6-pin Deutsch connector. This connects to the wiring harness that I made inside the Tour Pak. I drilled a hole in the front center of the Tour Pak at the bottom for the wiring to exit, so you can't even see it. I had to make both of these harnesses from scratch.

That single harness supplies power for all of the various lights in the Tour Pak, so I only have one connector to unplug to remove Tour Pak. Takes less than a minute!  :2vrolijk_21:
