Personalize SERK
« on: June 20, 2013, 08:46:38 AM »

Recently picked up a 13 SERK, blue in color.  I want to do some things to personalize my bike, make it my own and not look like every other one out there.  Any suggestions and what have others done to your bike to make it stand out?  Thanks.

Welcome to the site.  Do I understand correctly that you're wanting to make the bike distinct to your own tastes, make it unique to what you like and enjoy, and are asking others how might best accomplish that?

Pinstriping.  Sort of like a tattoo for the bike.  Lots and lots of pinstriping :2vrolijk_21:

And some of the bullet hole stickers.

yes.  Just some things that make it look a little different then when it rolled off the showroom floor.

All kidding aside what you're asking you can easily accomplish.  Spend a lot or spend a little.  Don't buy the "CVO comes with everything" bit.  There's a lot left undone.  Do the touch that many don't and lose all the ugly bolts on the engine, tranny and elsewhere and replace them with polished stainless or chrome.  That's a great improvement that not many take the time to do that isn't frighteningly expensive.

Hit the catalogs and find some small chrome accessory parts you like.  There really are many many options.  Look at pics of other bikes and find things you like.

I have a 2013....its headed to the shop in a week or so.  Installing passing lamps and removing turn signals from the bars, CFR exhaust, removed the license plate assembly and purchased a chrome one with the light included.  Ordered a dragonfly fairing painted to match and includes 6x9 focal speakers, highway pegs, front klock werks wrap fender painted to match....
theres ton to do, all depends on the $!
Next will be higher handlebars.  Probably 12 inch carlini flyin apes.

I have an 07 SERK. REally wanting to put the 10 monkey bars on mine, but what a hassle. Since I have a hydraulic cluth, special order, 12 weeks. Love the bars, but are hearing horror stories as far as the wiring goes. Also, trying to clean up the rear end. Was thinking of getting the Chupa Rear fender yaffee shows will fit 08-earlier, but come to find out my 170 rear tire wont allow that either. They really need to put this on their website. Thinking of just removing tail light and turn signal bar in back, filling it in and putting some leds lights in my fillers. Also, just got wrapper front fender for the front, cant wait to get that done. Klock werks upper fillers, but will have to have them modified to work with wider fender. Glad I have family in paint and fab department.

LED front turn signal bulbs with smoked visor lenses, LRS windshield, heated seat with new backrests, 4 point dock with stealth luggage rack, paul yaffe stealth license frame, kuryakyn saddle shields, badlands strobing brake light module, badlands load equalizer, V&H hi output slip on mufflers. Installing V&H power dual header pipes next week or so and a color matched tour pack on a removable rack next year, I already have the rack.
