Tell us:  CVO or not?  Stock suspension?  Tires?  Floorboard extensions?  All of that and more can have an effect. If your bike is stock, you should be scraping the outside bottom of the floor board itself which is a good thing. It moves and thus gives a warning you are getting near the limit.  On the left side, you should scrape the Jiffy stand first.

There's nothing wrong with scraping the floorboards.  They are on a hinge and will flip up if you lean too far.  Of course, there is a point where you will bottom out.  My friends and I all ride pretty hard.  I've worn out my floorboards several times and had to replace them.  You have to be riding darn hard to high side your bike.

I had floor board extensions on and I would scrape the boards constantly.  I really hated that sound too.. Recently I took them off.  Made a huge difference and hardly any discomfort without them.    Stuart.

Nice!  My kind of rider! LOL

I dont know how you'll ever be able to totally eliminate the scraping.  However, consider checking your line.  You might be turning in too soon or too late and scraping while trying to correct for one of those mistakes.  Also, better suspension on the front would help some, too.

I love hearing this story as I love hearing about other people "riding hard".. I see these threads about getting 15000 miles out of a rear tire and getting 45 MPG and I know I should SLOW down and act my age! I get about 5000 miles out of the rear tire max..
I was having the same problem as you with the scraping so I put the Ohlin 6's rear suspension on which is 13 inch's instead of the stock 12 and though I will still scrape, it is much less frequent not to mention the Ohlins make it feel like a completely different bike!. You dont have to go that expensive on the shocks to get that extra inch as non CVO RG's come with 13 inch rear shocks and there are many options on after market that will still "change your ride" of the bike while mostly fixing (I still scrape but usually don't go into the brackets) this issue.
Keep having fun, its why we spend so much DA-- money on these toys!

yea maybe some work on the front forks might do it. i was really hoping someone knew of something out there to pick everything up.on my 83 flht there are 3 adjustment holes i ride in the upper most to get that bike to corner without grinding.there is also much work done to it as well to get it to handle. which could be a tread all of it's own. in some ways that bike corners better than my ultra do to the different placement of the weight. when i say i nearly drag my bags i'm not chittin you. i don't want to pull my own chain but i'm 44 and been riding for more than 35 years and a couple hundred thousand miles so ........as for my line i'll drag all the way through a long sweeper.
maybe i'll have to fab up some new brackets so that they sweep up from the bolt not out then up. picture turning the bracket upside down that would give tons of new clearance. the bracket design makes this only a problem on the right side. i was just hoping there was something already out there.
there is one other option but i just seem to get myself to buy a sport bike i'd rather out run them on my dressers. i rode a sporty to high school and i think i'll keep it this way. and now my 16 year old will do the same ;D

you know, thanks sdcvo 13" shocks just might do the trick.
when i put the tts and the basani pipes on the tech told me "you sure you want to do this you might lose some fuel milage" i just laughed and asked him what his point was. i wouldn't care if i got 10 miles to the gallon as long as my hair is on fire. i didnt spend all this money for fuel economy
thats like buying a new jag xkr to go get groceries

I also put the Premium Cartridge front suspension on as well. If I get 30mpg I am on the freeway... I know, stupid... They are going to throw me in jail one of these days...
