I found a thread on this forum or another but I am unable to locate it. It was for the swapping out risers on a 2009 CVO and I just wanted to elaborate more on this.
Some background on what I wanted. I am 5'8" and at some point I think I might change my bars out on my 2009 but I sort of like the stock bars with one problem.... at my height I was leaning down a little so I can imagine other (not vertical impaired) riders would like a little raise. As you are aware finding risers for this bike is kind of a pain if not impossible (I never found any) that fit the stock bars.
So Like from the previous post that I found I order a set of 2008 CVO risers (studs) to install on my 2009 ($56) from a local Harley Dealer. I went to
http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.com/ronnies/showmodel.asp?make=hdmc and researched the items I needed to avoid confusion. Look up the handle bar assy. (2008) and part 56968-07 and then look up the 2009 and you will see the difference.
I installed these new studs (risers) and gained about 1" to 1 1/2" of rise and its way more comfortable and allows me to rotate the bars. If you decide to install the tach from the earlier models you will need to do this as well so you don't hit your tank.
I will try and attach some photos.

so in short I raised my bars up a little, got some comfort, saved my stock bars and cables and it took about 30 mins and around $110 for this mod.
Hope this helps someone else.
