I really liked the F250, but I think they made a wrong turn when they got away from the 'Lightning' quick, low slung models.

Different animal...The 2006 5.4 L (310-hp/365 lb torque) I had would have been left in the dust against the 3.5 L (365-hp / 420 lb-ft of torque).
You are 100% correct.....and I completely agree with you :smart:

If they had made them in CVO colors, with a lot more chrome on them instead of trying to color match
everything out, and put a few unique options on it and gave it more HP, it would be a very good seller.

I know I would have bought one then.

Hi all. I had 3 of the HD F-150. 1st was a 2000. I saw one in Myrtle Beach during bike week event back then. They were actually a little hard to find. It was 2WD and not supercharged. I really liked it. But in 2002, I found out they were putting on a supercharger, went back to the same dealer, drove one. Nuff said! Had to have it. Traded the 2000 in right there. Four door truck, 2WD and lowered from the factory. Rode great and handling made it fun to drive. I used it almost everyday. Never got tired of it! Bought a Haulmark 7 X 18 enclosed trailer and hauled four full sized HDs in it. The F-150 pulled it like nothing was even back behind you. Mileage averaged 10-11mpg when pulling the trailer. No trailer about 15-16mpg.
Had the 2002 a little over 5 years (actually had it paid for!). I started to notice some paint cracking on the hood and roof when washing/detailing. Took it to the dealer near by, had there body shop look at it. $5000.00 to repaint. Best part was Ford would cover half. So out of pocket would be $2500.00 including the flame side decals.
In the mean time, I find out that Ford had a new deal with Steve Saleen. He added a different type of supercharger and claimed 450 horsepower. Quickly lost interest in my 2002 and traded it for a new 2007.
Well, it turned out badly. Bad engine from new. Replaced it with a remanufactured engine. After that replacement, it ran ok. I say ok, just because I think my 2002 was quicker. Also the supercharged HD F-150 only came as 2WD. That was ok with me, but the 2007 had the same suspension as the 4WDs, and the handling was like a 4WD. That would have been alright, but it wasn't 4WD!
Looked into lowering it, having it Dyno-tuned, yadda, yadda, ended it up trading it on a Shelby GT 500. First thing I asked the salesman about the GT 500 was if it would only go 93 mph. As that was the limit on the HD F-150. He said no, the GT 500 is not limited, so the deal was done.
I actually used the Lemon Law against the 2007 F-150 because it was in the shop so much. About 9 months later I received a check for $5,500.00. Ford got it back as I used it for the Mustang. Lastly, the 2002-2003's were the best trucks with the HD theme. I still look at them considering buying another.

The problem with the HD Truck IMHO..... it is only offered in 4 Drs......  I have no need for a 4 door truck with a 6' bed!

Give me an extended cab and 8' bed and it has a million uses and 10 million more buyers!

Whoever decided to limit the options..... blew it!

Just my opinion though......

I guess the you don't like my truck then, it is a four door. It is amazing how fast the 2002 - 2004 F-150 5.4 Super Charged trucks are.

Everything is for sale if the price is right. Lol
