Well, let's see....  Fullsac sells a REAL pipe, right Steve?  That IS the one that I recommend to folks.

The cat material does NOT impede flow in a 100% stock pipe and performs BETTER than on with Cat material removed.  O2s work 'better, I suspect.

A stock head pipe with cat works BETTER than someone we won't name (NOT Fullsac) pipe with NO cat.

This is all data driven by dyno numbers and not someone's simplified way of viewing thing OR adding new cans, which screws up HEADPIPE comparisons.

Most do NOT adhere to any sort of scientific comparisons, and simply go by 'what makes sense..."

End result is this...  unless one is poor (yeah right with a CVO bike), the gutting a cat pipe makes that pipe perform WORSE that before one gutted it.

Dave?  You really NEED to understand the English language better before you call me out.  I talked about STOCK pipes, NOT aftermarket pipes.  Crap Dude...  you treated me like an idiot.

Mister Dick,

You are the one who needs to chill.  I pointed out that a fullsac head pipe, no cat will make more power than one with a cat.

I also should have been pointed out in 09 before the fullsac head pipe, I ran a 09 head pipe I cut in half at the cat, removed 100% of the cat, welded it back together and it made more power!

Seems Steve pointed that out in a post after mine, I followed his instructions on how to do it right.

Why did you not tell Steve his 09 head pipe with the cat removed did not make more power?  He stated it made 4 more hp!

Here I am....  Steve, your 09 pipe with the Cat removed did NOT make any more power than it did with the Cat. (it was all to do with the Cans)

Dude, some of us HAVE dyno's, know how to read results, etc.  If you don't like the FACT that a STOCK 2010 up pipe will make the same with or without the cat...  can't help you with that one.

Happy?

BTW, your 09 pipe WAS a bastard pipe.  49 state pipe had NO cat, and is sought after because of that.

BTW2...  I USE Steve's pipes.  The seem to be the best header option out there (no kidding).  His 'major' online competition sometimes makes LESS than a stock pipe will.

But... when talking stock pipes and cats.....  I 100% STAND by what I say.  And until YOU have a dyno...  you are just regurgitating marketing hype, with out ANY personal knowledge.

The OP was all about a STOCK pipe, in specific the 2-1 Street Glide 2010 pipe.  NOTHING was said about anything aftermarket until YOU misread the original post and decided it included all manner of head pipes.  The idea here, I thought... was to move an OP forward and NOT clutter it with non pertinent BS.

HAHA!  I chill for NO one.  Instead, I call out BS crap.  I DO get in lot's of hot water for doing so... but have a very thick skin!

I think it would be good for everyone to take a moment before they type/hit enter... breathe, take a chill pill... relax... enough (no more) said.

Most every one on this site that had the 09 CVO bikes knows that it was a one year bastard pipe, which is why the 49 state non cvo head pipes sold so well on E-Bay.  They sold well because they did make more power than the cat verison in CA and on 110 motors.

My 09 was tuned on a Dyno with a TTS, and Fullsac 2.25 cores, and stock head pipe 1 week after I got the bike.  Three months later it was tuned again after I cut the pipe in half, removed the cat and welded it back together.  It made 3 more HP and more torque.

I did it because of the results Fullsac had doing this in 09.  And Steve was right, there was a gain, for no money but the dyno time.

Now see you have a Dyno, and are a Tuner.  How about you post some documentation that a cat head pipe and same head pipe with the cat cut out 100% make the same power.  I am sure you must have extensive research to prove this seeing you have a dyno.

I have seen Dyno results 09 the 09 making more power, Posted by Steve back in 09.  So, as a vendor like Steve, I am sure you can back up your facts with documentation.

Me, I am just a consumer, who does research before I spend my money.

So, in advance, thank you for providing documentation and extensive research from your dyno.

I would love to see the dyno sheets to back the claims made that a cat pipe makes the same power as a non-cat.

Cycle Shack sells a OEM replacement headpipe that has both 12mm and 18mm o2 sensor bungs, and no cat.  This is probably one of the cheaper methods of getting rid of the cat regarding a complete replacement.  I also think that Fulsac used to offer a more affordable modification of the stock headpipe option as well, but I don't know if they still offer that.

Fullsac still offers the sport pipe, which is a modification of your stock head pipe, around 270 dollars.  You do an exchange and he sends you back a modified stock pipe no cat with a completely replaced center plenum ( cat area) with a true 15 degree x collector.  Come real close to the performance of his more costly X Pipe that every one on this site loves.
