Flush Mount Front Axle
« on: July 01, 2013, 10:17:28 PM »

Considering mounting a flush mount front axle kit.  Lots of different ones out there.  Any recommendations, positive or negative?

Thanks,

I think Puzzled sells them.   See mine here:  SERG AND CVO: VERY GOOD TO ME! NEXT?

Specific to brand names no.  But specific to install method perhaps.  Have seen some that do the final tightening using a small button head (allen tool) inside the right end of the axle.  That's a lot of torque for tightening or loosening to be applied to a small allen socket or wrench.  Have seen one that rounded out so thoroughly that normal disassembly was no longer an option. So look closely at whatever you're choosing and make it sure it doesn't tighten up that way.

I bought the same parts also--before I knew Puzzled sold them......if I would have known I would have bought from him as well.

Received mine from Puzzled as well. CVO discount and fast shipping. High quality, highly recommended :2vrolijk_21:
Check out his link on ebay and then PM for direct purchase. It'll save both of you the fees. And paypal to friend or family, he won't take your money and run. I've purchased flush axle, fork cap, chrome shift spacer, and rear fender U bar eliminator from him over the years.
Never a problem.

Thanks for the recommendations - I'll take your advice, as soon as I finish replacing the front wheel bearing on my Land Rover
