Need advice installing LED license plate frame
« on: July 04, 2013, 12:34:14 AM »

Bought Signal Dynamics Quad Led License Plate Frame with 4 strips of red LEDs. (One strip on each side). My 07 CVO Ultra already has wiring harness under seat that makes rear passing lamps act as running lamps and brake lights . Would like to wire Quad Led Frame so that all 4 red LED strips function as tail lights and also all 4 function as brake lights. Would like for 2 side (vertical) LED strips to also function as rear turn signals. Any advice on best way to do it. I plan on wiring under seat to main wires that run back to tail light.

Each Led strip has 3 wires . Ground, low illumination , and high illumination. So 12 wires total to tie into 5 wires that go to tail light / blinkers. ( I have read that 6th wire is for use on European bikes where lights have to be on in accessory mode)

Would like to avoid cutting and or soldering wires. Would there be enough room for Scotch Lock wiring connectors? Or is there a better way?

My side LEDs r red instead of amber , but would like for lights to function like in above YouTube video . EXCEPT I want side (vertical) strips to also go into high (bright) illumination when brake is applied.
