I checked out gpscrazy and I get a 999.99 price. I added it to the cart to see if it changed but got same thing. Newegg has it for 799.00

I'm not sure what they have going on...My CC already got charged the $739, and no tax or shipping.  So I know I got it for that.  Maybe that was a pre-release special.  Dunno guys.  Either way, it shouldn't cost much more than that anywhere.  Newegg?  Excellent company to buy from.  I've built 4 computers from their parts.  Easy to order from and track orders.

I'm not trying to start anything. Just everytime someone get's a good price I try to get in on I never get the same price. :'(

I need to get some items for the ride to Nelson and this is one. I have the 2620 so I can use it but thought this might be an upgrade. I've had the 2620 about 3 years I think and these new gps have some nice features.

Just ordered mine [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif].  Should be here in 3 business days.  Ordered from GPS Central in Calgary, Alberta for $909.00 Canadian.  Imagine that, the Canadian unit cheaper than the $US unit [smiley=nixweiss.gif].  Must be a "Free-Trade" thing.

I figure if I am going to be leading you crazy #^%$## around Nelson, B.C., one of us better know where the hell we are going.  RIGHT ANDY!!!

Tell me again why the guy with the GPS was at the BACK of the pack and let us ride 50 miles out of the way?

That's right. It's not about the destination, it's about the journey! Hoist!

Too true sir, too true.  Even though it is an old ad slogan it has resonance.  And really we don't need to join the ranks of the convinced to know this.  After all, how many times have we just started out to go "that-a-way" and found as our best riding companion for the day that guy that shows up for an hour or so very early or late in the day that rides just off your front quarter as the sun is rising or setting behind you.

I'm with you on this one. My trip planning usually consists of figuring out what area would be nice to go to, looking at a map to find the "dotted scenic roads", riding until dusk and find a motel. The next day do the same thing. It's kinda nice not knowing where you're headed and who you're gonna meet. You go where you want and stop when and where you want. Been doing it that way for 30+ years. It works for me. Hoist!

We share an SOP for travel Hoist.  If something looks interesting, amusing or photo worthy along the way then waste a little time on it.  In between sit back, feet on teh pegs, enjoy the scenery and feel the bike rumble on.  Stop, refill the tank, and repeat the process.  If there is a specific destination in mind finding the same way there twice in a row usually means a navigational mistake was made or I knew where the closest potty was and really needed to get there.  Aside from that, the trip is the best part.  Getting to the destination is usually just an excuse to turn around have more fun doing the same kind of thing on the way home.
