New Handlebars
« on: July 11, 2013, 11:36:40 AM »

Got my new handlebars in this week. Went with the Wild One's 576. Can't take the shoulder pains and numb hands any longer. Having them put on next Tuesday.  :worthless:   Pics to follow   :bananarock:

Got my Wild One's 578's put on yesterday. Wow what a difference. Dealer quoted me 4 hours and it took him seven. Said I'm the last one to get that kind of deal. He still made out though. Wow what a difference. Guess I already said that didn't I. :)

How are you guys deciding on which Handlebars to choose from given the multitude of options?

going with measurements or some other way?

it can and should be a slow process. I sat on multiple bikes over the course of a year before I decide on Paul Yafee's 12" monkey bars. It's a costly decision and everyone has a different feel they like.

Good Luck!

I need to change my bars also, I have to come back a couple of inches, but; I also would like a new seat to come back a little bit and down an inch. So i'm thinking I need to do one and then the other to figure out which other I need...Handlebars or seat first??? So I ask...so whats your bike? What bars did you put on? Why did you change them? and How do they feel now?? What did you have to change...?Oh yes and Pics....and last but not least, how much$$$

Pics of the new bars are coming soon. Just got back from a 2 week vacation and trying to catch up on the riding. The 14" bars are incredible! The comfort factor for me went up 1000%. No more numb hands. No more stabbing pains between the shoulder blades. It's like a brand bew bike! Oh yeah, and they look fantastic.  :bananarock:

I just put 12" bagger bars on mine and they are perfect. Not to tall or too short, and look great too! A major improvement over stock bars.  :)

Did the handle bars change the handling of the bike any. How did you like them on a long trip.

Rode 321 miles Saturday over a variety of roads. some interstate, some state highway, and some pretty good twisties here in Arkansas (Push Moountain). First real ride with the new handlebars. Comfort was incredible. First time I've ridden in a LONG time without the hands going numb or tingling and without the shooting/stabbing pains between my shoulder blades. I could have ridden another 300 miles with no problems. So, from a comfort standpoint, one million percent better.

Handling was much easier as well. I was a bit surprised, but didn't know what to expect. Much less effort in the twisties and felt like I have much better control. Another guy in our group had jsut installed the 12.5" chubbies. He said the same things about his (he has an 2012 UC). I am more than happy with the decision to change and with the changes I made.

Does anyone know if the Heat Demons (Heated Grips) will fit inside the Chubby handlebars
