Oh Mannnn.....Don, I'm sorry to hear of your friend's loss.  Fire's bad.  Especially when it burns a couple of almost irreplaceable panheads.  Glad none of ya'll did anything 'stupid' though....I know you'll support your friend thru the loss.  thanks for sharing...... spyder

We got a bit on the toasty side the last couple of trips in after stuff.

Glad to hear nobody got hurt, but geez Don, we can't emphasize enough to never go back in once you are all safe outside. It just doesnt always work out well. Statistics prove that it is indeed a very dangerous action.

Again glad to hear everyone is safe and offer you friend our condolences on the loss, fire is such a scary thing.

Maybe next time were together and we share that beer that we didn't this time I'll tell you about a personal experience.

Unfortunately know of two bikes that are no longer safe at home.  Last evening was messing around at a buddy's place south of here a ways shooting beer and drinking pool.  After awhile smoke alarms and sirens all start going off.  Something started in the kitchen and gutted the entire place.  We got the kids and a good amount of the more important household stuff before it was just too hot to go back in again.  But he had a 58 turquoise and white and a 64 red and white in the garage that was next the kitchen that we could never get to.  So a couple of gorgeous old bikes went away.

Good words of advice. People don't understand that not only will the heat and smoke get you, but the integrity of the building deteriorates rapidly under these conditions. Unless you are trained to look for certain things you can get yourself in bad situation that you can't get out of.

Please don't go back into a burning building if everyone is out safely!!!!

Would love that Duane.  First one will even be on me (as long as it's not Corona!).

Do you have a link to this?

Hey there Hogasm-

I don't have a link to any of it yet. I don't think Bagger magazine has hit the newstands yet, Alligator Bob just informed me of it and they asked him if he'd advertise in it. The photographer is Colleen Swartz from the Milwaukee area. www.digitalmagicbigshots.com I'll keep you posted as everything developes.

Take Care,

Grover

:) I rode all the way home Sunday, 921 miles in 15 hours, because Monday looked like lots of rain. Rode a total of 2601 miles for the one week, what a blast!

Hey Grover!

Thanks Duane [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] I like that shot! I'm sure glad we went back there to explore the waterfall! It was a real joy meeting you and having our own little excursion back to Maggie Valley. Looking forward to sharing the road with you again :)

Be safe & Take care
