Exhaust Modifications
« on: July 17, 2013, 11:06:37 PM »

Anyone out there know if I can put Fuelmoto 4 inch Jackpot Competition Baffles in my stock mufflers? I saw that Fullsac modified the stock mufflers with their baffles, so I know it can be done, but will it work using Comp Baffles from Fuelmoto? I have already installed the Fuelmoto XXX Ceramic coated head pipe and crossover pipes. I like the stock muffler look on my 2013 Road King CVO and would like to keep the stock look, but get a little louder and cooler exhaust. Thanks in advance.

i would call fuelmoto to double check, but my initial thinking is that it won't work.  the fullsac baffles are full length.  when you take the stock baffles out of your stock cans, the inlet protrudes into the front of the muffler by a couple of inches.  when you install the fullsac baffles, the front of the baffle goes over that protrusion and almost all the way up to the front of the muffler.  i dunno if my explanation makes any sense, so here's a quick sketch:

I will call them tomorrow and check. The sketch is good and I do understand what you mean. The competition baffles might be coned, so that won't work. If that doesn't work than I can probably talk to Steve at Fullsac and see if he can punch more holes towards the front of his 2.25 SD baffles to get a deeper sound and use the liners for the packing to be less. Thanks for the quick reply.
