Are the extensions your talking about moving the controls forward or out?

I installed a set on a Softail that moved the controls forward 2" and out just the thickness of the bracket. The loss of ground clearance/lean angle was minimal.

I've got 3" Ness extensions along with extended Supreme Legends forwards on my Night Train.  The exhaust pipe touches down way before the controls will.

Instead of using extension plates I used complete forward control set that relocate
No loss of ground clearance on a 2004 Deuce
