Used Rhinehart Duel Exhaust Value
« on: July 25, 2013, 08:10:25 AM »

Getting different exhaust for  my S.E.E.G. I have a used set of Rhinehart True Dual muffler/header set I am planning to sell. What is a fair price to ask for a  used complete exhaust system in good condition? The headers are larger dia. than stock, so it has to sell as a set.
I am in North Carolina.

Thanks,
Donnie

I may be interested, what years do they fit and do you have a photo of the system? Send me a PM.

Thanks!

Donnie, I am considering buying a that setup. Why are you selling? I have an 06  with stock headpipe and Rinehart slip ons, zippers cam, PC11, and air cleaner. I have wondered if the true dual exhaust would make any difference.

I am in the Winston Salem area of North Carolina. My bike is a 05 CVO Electra Glide got it used from a dealer in Roswell, Ga. The S.E.E.G already had the duel Rinehart system when I bought the bike. No idea how many miles are on the pipes, bike had 19,500 k miles when I got it and 26k now, if that helps.

Am not new to motorcycles, but green and new to the  Harley world and do not have any prior Harley experience to compare the pipes performance as far as true duels to other exhaust.

The reason I want to replace the system is they are a louder that I have a taste for after hearing my friends with stock mufflers. I prefer a quieter muffled sound personally.

This exhaust system I have learned has 2” headers that are exclusive to Rinehart`s exhaust systems. The only mufflers that can be used with the 2” stepped headers have to be Rinehart’s.

A friend of mine has stock take off`s his 03 CVO Road King that I am plan to use.  I am of town, but am heading home over the weekend and have not removed the exhaust yet. I will get photos when I get the pipes of f the bike. The pipes and mufflers are in like new condition as far as I can tell.

I have the same exhaust system on my bike and checking my records when I purchased them (10/04) the suggested retail price was $824.95. Depending on the condition of the pipes a good starting point may be 40/50 % off that price. :nixweiss: Your information regarding the header/muffler combination being unique to this exhaust system is correct... only the Rinehart 2" mufflers will work w/those head pipes.

I have an older bike with RH TD's, wife said it was too loud in the sidecar, so I put stock mufflers on it no prob. Slit the head pipe so it can clamp tight, they fit perfectly inside rather than out. If you do this, make sure you choose mufflers that aren't plugged up tighter on the left side.

Keep in mind the 03 do not have oxygen sensors! You would have to weld in bungs.
