DId you have to get a load equalizer for them to funciton properly?  I replaced the stock bulbs with LED's, bought a load equalizer but I still have a problem with the blinkers with a solid illumination on the dash and they don't blink?

Yes, I used CDs load equalizer to resolve an intermittent fast-flash issue. Also added the CD Magic Strobes on the rear LEDs...LOVE them.

I just called Custom Dynamics and told Amanda (very pleasant and knowledgeable)  what bike I have and what I wanted. 'Was lit up 3 days later.
You have to specify what bike that you are putting the load equalizer on since some of the wiring harness / plugs are different, CVO / non CVO / year / model etc

Yes on the load equalizer. It's better to call Custom Dynamics directly as the wiring harness / plugs are not all the same. Amanda at CD will set you up with  plug/play.

Very good addition along with the Custom Dynamics load equalizer specific for your scooter a must if you also have LED rear running/turn signals.  Look good, operate as described and love them.  Have them on Ginger and Skunk Ryder put them on his RG (along with the Daymaker LED's....literally night and day difference).
I've posted pictures of the Skunk before and after on another thread with this same topic but here it is again.
Before any changes....all stock

With the Daymakers and the halo/ringz turn signals installed.  Really light up the night now and I can see him behind me in the daylight.

idk, looking at custom dynamics web page under the description of them it says 'not dot approved'....  where did you see that it was dot approved?  oh, and i'm planning on getting a set too :D

Why does anybody care about the DOT approval?? I have had Custom Dynamics LED's since '05 and would not use anything else. Dave (owner) is about the best guy you will ever meet. IF you are in Sturgis this week, stop and talk to him, they normally stay open until at least 11PM. And his warranty is the best ever.

I just installed the dynamic rings to my 11 cvo convertible. Plug and play, no load equalizer needed. very bright.

I have the dynamic ringz on both my CVO's.  Been from Key West to Canada and many places in between, never been hassled or questioned about them.  Most would never know there not DOT.  Also I would be shocked if any one was stopped over front turn signals.  I have another bike that has none, and have never been hassled about that either.

Yes, its needed due to the LED tail lights.  The alarm does weird stuff with out the equalizer.

I also run the brake flasher they make, but that is not why I needed the equalizer
