Very sad...

Nemo Road is a very scenic ride with plenty of wildlife.  It can be easy to be distracted from riding viewing the scenery.  Please be careful, everyone...

Rode Nemo road last Sunday. Easy to see how this can happen. Sympathies to the family!

And it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment. (Hebrews 9:27)  We will all make the trip some day.  To be honest, I think I'd had rather go while on my bike than to succumb to some horrible disease while laying in some hospital bed somewhere.  May he rest in peace.

I hate to bash anyone about the helmet issue, so I won't.  But, after 37+ years of riding the highways and byways; and 32+ years as a US Army Combat Medic and Level 1 Trauma Center Tech, I have learned that it's all about how you crash than what you are wearing when you crash.  No adult citizen of the USA should EVER be forced to protect themselves from themselves.  Thats ALL I'll say on the subject.  Thanks for listening (or not!).

Very sad...

I WEAR A HELMET. I only have one brain, and I may only have a few dozen brain cells still working... but I want to protect them as long as I can...

Not wearing a helmet simply isn't worth the risk. You WILL lose everything if you are in any accident without one...

I was told something many years ago,, I never forgot these words.  " No such thing as a fender bender on a motorcycle".  "Wear a helmet".   :o

My father was a truck driver his whole life. He hated when I got my first bike. He just doesn't say anything about it anymore. I remember taking one of my bikes for a ride after making some changes to it. I went down the block and back with no helmet. My mother yelled at me when I pulled back in the garage and my father responded to her it's just a difference between an open and closed casket...I'm sure there are lots of times when it wouldn't make a difference, but you never know. So I'd rather be safe than sorry, or paralyzed, or worse. Besides that it's law where I live.
