Inner primary for fxr4

Greetings form Norway!

Seems like i have got into a little problem here
The primary Chain anchor plate screws was somehow loose on my FXR4. I didn't notice before the whole unit start to move around inside my primary. Do anyone know if the inner primary from the 94 FXR will fit on the FXR4?
(part number 60662-94)
 It looks like the threads for the anchor plate are a little damaged on my bike...

I have a FXR4 also. I had a screw come loose and it ate 1/2 of the primary chain. Made a awefull noise. I got a new chain and reinstalled the same plate and it has been there over 30,000 miles with a S&S V111 motor and 6 speed O.D. gearset. My parts # Manuel shows item #22 Primary Housing Admitted (silver)
p/n 60728-99. The 99 FXR3 has a Black inner Primary Chain Case so that number will be different. I don't think they are different mechanically. Sorry I could not be more helpfully.

Delkron makes quality high strength inner primary case. They make two versions. D5045 for 1994 and later
I would contact them to ensure the correct one. D5030 for 89-93 FXR.  List price $338. But can be found online for less.(265 average U.S)

The part numbers for the 2000 is not the same as the 94.  PN 60728-99 fits the 2000. 

As to interchangeability, I couldn't say.  The 2000 has a larger starter ring gear and numerically lower sprocket ratios as well as a new clutch that the older FXR's didn't use.  I would be thinking that there might be some clearance issues and perhaps a change in the starter/jackshft location.  The 2000 also uses a different outer primary, but the gasket is the same as the 94's.  In looking ant my 2000 beside my 84, the 2000 cover is larger (more bulge) in the clutch area.

If your only issue is the threads on that adjuster bolt hole.  Put a heli coil (thread insert) in the hole and be done with it.  You can also upgrade to a self adjusting shoe and not have to worry with any of it any more.

Custom Chrome actually has an inner primary part number for both configs so i am a little confused about the difference: 628873 Raw cast finish (repl. OEMs 60662-94, 60728-99). For this time I will use helicoil, but if it was a one year and model part number i will try to get one of the original. (still looking for the fxr4 speedo...) In some way the fxr2 and 3 are easier regarding parts I think.

Some parts are pure FXR, but others are Sporty and Dyna pieces.  I'm thinking that the 2K speedo came from a Dyna.

one year one model parts - those are the ones that suck

i run a sidecar and, so far, no aftermarket header pipe will clear.

the header on a 07 ultra is one year, one model - and the damn thing has already cracked once, have a new take off on the shelf. i have really looked and "so far" its the only part thats that odd

The -94 inner primary will bolt right in on your 2000 FXR without any issues. If it is not the right color a simple trip to Sumax will fix it. Original OEM pieces are getting harder to find and expensive. Delkron makes a very strong and good looking inner primary case for FXRs.
