Hey Everyone...

Perhaps none of you knew about this, but there was a FXR (ONLY) Show held at City Park in Sturgis on Sunday, August 4th, from 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM.  

It was a recognized event at Sturgis this year and was the first one of it's kind.  

67 bikes showed up and there were at least 200+ folks gathered that had rode other bikes and were at the show as well.  

So personally I thought it was a great show....a lot of fun....FXR's ranging from "FXR CUSTOMS to the oldest one I saw was a 1984 FXR.

Anyway perhaps this will help people who want to attend next year that have FXR's to plan for such an experience.

I also saw Ric from OCC and I thought....nah it couldn't be him....I would have chatted with him about his thoughts on the FXR.

Met some nice people there....I would say for a FIRST TIME EVENT it was well worth the experience....

It would be great to MAKE it an EVEN BIGGER EVENT NEXT YEAR....

My 1999 FXR2 was there, there was 1 1999 FXR3 (although it was JamesButler's and it does not appear as 1999 FXR3 on the surface...since he has changed it so much, but it is still a 1999 FXR3).  There were also 2 2000 FXR4 Tangerines in attendance.

It would be GREAT TO SEE 15-20 CVO FXR's there next year...just to represent the last bikes....

Thanks for the photos Tim. Some nice FXR's there. I haven't seen a pic of James' bike, what has he done to it? If I remember correctly, his is a Blue Flame yes? It's a little far for me since I am in New Jersey. Very cool overall.

Thanks for the report on the show. Very cool pictures. You can always tell who the guys with above average intelligence are, they are the ones riding an FXR!

Thanks Tim.
 I really enjoyed looking and drooling at the FXR bikes. Being a FXR Fanatic myself, I can't get enough Riding,
Thinking, talking, tinkering and customizing my FXR4.  I was financially unable to attend Sturgis. I looked every day at the Sturgis webcams , sometimes for hours. I saw the advertisement for the FXR only Bike Show and wanted to be there to show off my Bike and see all the others. I am Thrilled to see the Pics and I am happy that you who helped so much getting my Bike gear ratio explained and set up. My FXR4 is a Thrill to Ride! I never get Bored or Tired of Riding.

Regarding pic #5

Notice the oil fill on the transmission. No oil tank so just enough room for a battery was needed for the frame mod and low seat.

Now revisit......FXR W/ BLACKED OUT ROCKER COVERS & LIFTER COVERS ALONG WITH DIAMOND CUT HEADS AND CYLINDERS

Look again that is a Wrinkle Black Twin Cam with Blacked out rocker cover and lifter covers in an FXR. I always wanted to do that!
