Greetings: 1st time RK & CVO Owner... Thoughts?
« on: August 12, 2013, 04:52:23 PM »

We just picked up our 2013 FLHRSE5 on Saturday from H-D of ATL; we're pretty stoked after the first 120mi shake down ride.

Congratulations on the new bike!

Well my 13 CVO King is my 3rd CVO.  I also have my 12 CVO Road glide and had a 09 CVO road glide before that.

Rear shocks on the 12 and 13 are much better than the ones that were on the 09.  Takes a little dialing in to get them right.  However there are aftermarkets that are better.  I liked the Progressive 944's I had on my 09.

I will upgrade the front on the 13 to Progressive Mono tubes, they really improve the handling and reduce front end dive.

I run Fullsac baffles in my stock mufflers.  In fact I just put a set of CVO mufflers on my wife's 13 Street Glide with the 2.25 baffles.

I would also do the fullsac head pipe and TTS tuner with his map.  It will reduce engine temperature, and the cat will also not be there holding heat.  It gets way hot on the right leg.

I run the custom dynamics LED's for front signals on both my CVO the Dynamic Ringz that are white until you turn the turn signal on.

I will be adding the Daymaker to the King.  I will be putting 14" Monkey Bars on it too, have them on the Road Glide and love them.

I have just over 7800 miles on the CVO King.  Got it Late Nov, and it was down all of Dec and Jan while I built the motor, most my trips are done on the CVO road glide.  DaKing is my hot rod.

I did ride DaKing to Key West as I have rode every new bike there once, to get its picture at Southern Most Point.  DaKing will be ridden to Milwaukee in two weeks for the 100th.

Dave, MP & BE....  Thanks for the come-backs.

Appreciate the vote of confidence on the Fullsac; seems to make a lot of sense and the value can't be beat. Also looks to be an easy mod to the stock slip-on and lets me get through the fall and winter before doing the head pipe and TTS before next year's Daytona trip.

surprised the CVO didn't already have LEDs in those rear taillights.

Anyway, nice to find a place where folks share info regarding these somewhat qwerky bikes from the MoCo.  It's a whole different kind of Harley, to be sure.

You are welcome.  The rear lights are LED stock, which is why you need the equalizer after adding the Custom Dynamic turn lights up front.  I guess I was not clear, as I added custom dynamics brake strobe to make the rears flash several times when I apply the brakes.

I did the Dynamic Ringz white until you turn the turn signal on because I am adding the Daymaker LED head light.  So the whites will match.

I like the mirrors you added.  You are off to a good start making it yours.  I have done a few things to mine.

You should consider the Paul Yaffee stealth III for CVO for a plate frame, I have it on both my CVO bikes. Its flush mount and has an led to light the plate, plugs into factory harnes.  Looks like the picture below.  That is no long my tag though, its now LKY 13

I also got ride of the saddle bag latch reflectors as seen below, then I added the agitator air cleaner.

Changed the primary cover also, to make a little statement about me.

Thanks.  I have a few more things planned but, as you know takes time to get the funds.  Especially when I have a wife with bikes also.

Just got off the phone with Cammy at Fullsac and have the whole kit & kaboodle on the way!

- DX-Pipe
- 2.0” CVO Muffler Cores
- Perf'd Sleeves
- TTS MasterTune Programmer
- 110" Dyno Tuned Fuel Map

It's a pretty sure bet that you've found a good source when every person you ask who works on the 110's gets that "oh yeah" look when you ask about putting the entire Fullsac set-up on a CVO; yeah... really.  It was amazing.  Same story on the sales floor with the guys who've sold CVOs.

Thank you Steve & Cammy as well as the folks here at CVOHarley.com who weighed-in, never mind the sweet discount!

Smart move!  I am sure you will be very happy, its a good deal for the money spent, believe me, I am a multiple time repeat customer, and I have several friends who are too!
