I have not gotten out enough to see if the temp dropped, but I would think that the shear break in period might help a bit too....

Any body get their dyno setup yet?

 If anyone gets a map after a custom tune I would also appreciate a copy. I would like to see how different it is from the canned #84 SERT map I am currently using. I am waiting for the full TD Rinehart system to arrive this month before paying for a dyno tune. My bike is running really good now but I know it still has more potential. Thanks

Thats not a real representation .... If you have 6 gears your pull is 5th gear if you have 5 gears your pull should be 4th gear.   I would ask to have a pull done after bike is up to temp in 5 th gear to get a bonified number.   That means heat it up ... run 2 or 3 runs then make your pull at least a temp of 185+ on the top of the heads.

Harry - I'm not sure I understand why the power in 4th would be different from the power in 5th or even 6th

I mean what's different? Power is power surely?

......

Cheers

Dave,
I was wondering the same thing also, and then I started thinking (this is arm chair QB only). Could it make a difference when it shows HP/TQ of what gear it's in because of the teeth on that particular gear? Perhaps something to deal with the drive/gear ratio and how fast it turns the drum/wheel on the dyno? I'm thinking how you can hit the rev limiter in a lower gear (max out speed/hp/tq then upshift and have more). Like you I'll be interested in hearing the "rest of the story" on this as I wasn't aware that the run should be in 4th gear on a 5 speed. This place is great for learning. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Also, anyone have the "stock" numbers?  This was done only with the mods.

Aren't the blue lines from the bike in stock configuration? Or had you already added the mods then had them dyno/tune the bike?

[smiley=fireman.gif]

Mods were done before the tune.  I'm wondering what the stock numbers are. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

With the amount of time between those runs I was thinking maybe that was first (front) run, then after tuning was the last (rear) run? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

[smiley=pumpkin.gif]

That makes sense.
