I don't have much knowledge about audio, so I hope someone can help out with this.  It's a 2012 CVO SG.  The problem is that sometimes the left saddlebag speaker works and sometimes it doesn't.  When it doesn't, it has a low buzzing or humming sound coming from it.  The front works fine, as does the right bag.  My guess is that it is the rear amp.  I can't see it being a problem with the head unit or the plugs on the back of the head unit unless there is a pin just for the left rear speaker in the plug.  My warranty expired on August 12.  I was away on vacation with the bike at that time, but I called the dealer twice about it before the expiration, so I don't expect that to be a problem.  BTW, it's not the speaker.  One of the times that it was not working, I hooked up another speaker that I had and it still did it.  Once again, I am guessing it's the amp, but it's just a guess.  Thanks.

I was told this has been a problem with the stock system. My system was doing it also, I just got through replacing my amp and speakers on my bike. I am waiting on a new grill so I can finish my install.

I would say that there is a bad connection somewhere.  If the amp was bad, both rear speakers would be out.

I want to be sure that the connections are good.  Does anybody have a wiring diagram that shows the wires for the rear speakers, especially at the head unit plug, the saddlebag connection and the amp connection?  Thanks.

Never mind...I found the diagrams.

I had a chance to check all of connections over the weekend and they all seem good.  Left rear speaker was working.  Went for a pretty long ride and it wasn't working when I got back...just a low hissing/popping noise.  I have read where people that have had bad amps, or suspected they did, just had one side go out.  Are you sure that a bad amp would cause both sides to go out?  Thanks.

Only if it is one of the amp speaker ports that went bad, which is possible.  Was that area hitting or rubbing on anything?

No.  I think that I read that a couple people had some similar problems from the amp wires chafing on the mount, so I checked pretty good around there.

If you are still under warranty, take it in.

They warranty expired two weeks ago, but I talked to the dealership before and they said they will take care of it since I told them about the problem earlier.  Anyway, I bypassed the amp on the left rear speaker to see if it cuts out again.  If not, then it is probably the amp and I will take it out and take it to the dealership.  If it does cut out, it is probably the HU.
