What just happened?????
« on: August 22, 2013, 06:07:31 PM »

I wonder what the poor SOB did to deserve this!!!!!

That bike is completely nuc'd. Insurance wants $11,000 CDN for it. I think she is to far gone to be getting into.

Am really surprised that front rim broke out like that!   :o  Would take a lot to get that back on the road.

Wow... makes me sick to look at that. I hope the rider wasn't injured too badly, or killed.

I sure wouldn't mess with that bike. Too much damage to everything... the frame is probably bent, too.

I too am wondering how the spokes on the front Agitator wheel broke like that right along the hub. I have wondered how sturdy my front wheel really is with just those 7 thin-looking spokes. I've never seen a wheel break so cleanly like that.

Now that I know it CAN break like that, and it gives me goosebumps...

At first glance. bike appears virtually brand new. No dirt on the undercarriage.

Assessing the damage it would appear that bike took a hit from the rear pushing it into some stationary object. That (IMO) would explain the damage to the rear and the front wheel damage it's showing. :nixweiss:

Wow... makes me sick to look at that.

I felt the same way last year when I was in Sturgis. While at the Rapid City Harley dealership. In the back they had a 2011 CVO SG in the same condition but without the front rim busted and covered in mud. Looked at it for about a minute then walked away. I did not even want to take a picture as I never want to ever see or remember a bike like that.

The one thing that did cross my mind was the "Harley Death Wobble". It did happen to me on the way to Sturgis.
