Holy Moly! Good for him it was only a baby bear. Could have been worse.

I couldn't help but think of the Cripple Creek gathering from several years ago when I saw this.  It was huge fun overall but the first morning's ride was punctuated by a young bear about that size running across the road to its mama right through our line of bikes.  It was four of five bikes in front of me and right in front of JC if I remember correctly.

Several years ago I took a friend down to MV in June, figured all that daylight would give us a best "bang for the buck".

Coming back from the Dragon area still west of Cherokee and about 10 at night we had 3 cubs and mom run across the road in front of us.
No issue though, I saw them on the side well enough in advance. Sure did keep us alert for the rest of the trip.
