Well work is done and had a chance to tear it up a bit...
Feels strong, runs well, some fine tuning needed still as just a tiny hint of decel pop when letting off at high rpm,
but no hiccups/pops/farts when accelerating from any rpm/load/throttle position, so I'm thinking it's fairly close and I'm being a bit nit-picky lol.
Bit of background first. Scott @ Hillside and I came up with a game plan for my Street Glide last winter. The combo we put together made 113/117, and ran like it.
Real strong motor, loved them TW8-6 and will most likely go back to them at some point in this motor...
Well before I sold the SG to my brother back in June, I took it to the dealer here (who just did my RG work) and it pulled 97/99.
I include the above as it's the only frame of reference I have to do a direct comparison.
Well the RG made 104/111. Disappointing on the face of it, to be sure. According to the dealer, his dyno is 7% to the stingy side compared to Jarz and another shop he mentioned but can't remember,
so in his words the actual #'s are 111/122.
Now not sure about that at all, just repeating what I was told.
That all being said, if my "104/111" is near the same scale as my "97/99" was, then I'm happy guy.
At some point I hope to get it to a second dyno where I had some previous work done to my SG, just to have another frame of reference.
