Thank you for the detailed advice. Regarding weight distribution I have been playing around with that. I really feel that if they make it possible to relocate the tourpak then the bike should be able to handle it. I am no engineer but I will continue to keep an eye on this possibility

I also have said I do not want to "mask" this problem by adding expensive mods

My general gut feeling is it is the tires. Not too many folks like the Dunlops. I also think they heat up way too much on long highway rides. I am going to try to get my dealer to cover a new set of tires under warranty and see if we can put on the Michelin Commader 2's or the Metzeler 888. I had Metzeler's on my last Ultra and they were considerably better than the Dunlops

Sounds like you are on the right track.  Real bummer that you have to deal with this kinda thing at all.  I'll be watching to see what happens, and I'm sure a lot of others will too.

Took the bike out for a long highway ride Sunday. Checked the air pressure before leaving and it was right at max recommendation so I tried it with 2 lbs less psi than max to start out. After 4 hours I checked the psi in each tire and they had increased by 15 lbs in each tire and I could see what looked like stress cracks beginning in the sidewalls.

I called my dealer this morning and unfortunately they can only replace the tire with another Duncrap tire under the warranty. I do not want that so I asked for their recommendation between the Metzeler 888 and Michelin Commander 2. They said to go with the Metzeler. I like that the Metzeler has the zero degree deformation of the tire as it heats up and so hopefully it will go  a long way towards solving my front end handling problems.

At least he is doing this at cost for the tires and no charge for the labor. My dealer is aware of the problems I have been having and 2 of my friends have also bought bikes from him on my recommendation, so he tries to do what he can for me. I think this is as fair as he can be and I appreciate it.

More to follow

On the other hand I have been in touch with Traxxion Dynamics to see if they offer a discount to members of this forum. They have yet to reply to my email inquiry. My feeling is that they don't or won't
