So you will try the plastic oil valley? I was told the adhesive was on back order.

Fits '06-'13 Dyna®, '07-'13 Softail® (except FXCW/C, FXSTSSE3, FXSB and FXSBSE), and '07-'13 Touring and Trike models. Original Equipment on '14 Dyna®, Softail® and Touring models. Requires separate purchase of Installation Adhesive Kit P/N 11100088. '06-'11 Dyna®, '07-'11 Softail® and '07-'10 Touring and Trike requires separate purchase of Rotor Assembly P/N 30041-08. Installation on '06 Dyna® models require separate purchase of '07-style stator

I went ahead and also purchased the  rotor Assembly P#30041-08... but what is the difference from the old style and this new one ?

The rotor that is necessary for the new comp kit is flat on its face.  The one you'll replace has a "snout" that is part of the compensator assembly.  It would be a physical obstruction to your new compensator.

So what is the plastic oil valley spoken of?  Installed the SE compensator but missed the plastic thingy.

If you are speaking of the new 2014 compensator, the plastic oil tray is very important for the lubrication of the new comp. Without it you won't get the proper lube to make the new comp worth the purchase. Two trays should be in every kit.  One for touring, one for other models.

Sure does make an open belt drive seem like a viable option....  ;)

I am curious to see how the latest version holds up....

Why not?  Would seem it's covered by warranty or it isn't!   :nixweiss:
