That's why those of us who do know something about the subject responded to your post. Not trying to kill the messenger, just attempting to enlighten you and anyone else reading this thread who may not know much about the subject.
If you ride in extremely hot weather all the time then running 60 weight is fine; even Harley says so in their manuals. But I'd stick to the multigrade version if you plan to ride in areas where the temps dip significantly, like the mountains. A good multigrade (20w60 for instance) protects better on cold starts than a straight 50 or 60.
The carryover of oil into the air cleaner is a longstanding problem with Harley, and it isn't caused by the brand of oil. Experience has taught many of us that running the oil level a pint below the full mark will usually take care of the problem.
