Hey Everybody I need a favor for a brother

Good bro of mine who works as a DJ in one of the clubs on the strip in Hollywood just got hosed by a shop in North Hollywood on getting his old 4 speed upgraded to a 5 speed. $2,500 later, he just drove down here to Dago and asked if I could help get his ride on the road again. I absolutely cannot believe the pile of junk in the box that is supposed to contain all of his tranny guts. No shafts at all and a bunch of crappy looking gears. Sooooooooo

Unfortunate timing Brian.  I had a set setting around for months and months.  Sold them a few weeks ago on eBay for around $250 to a stranger.  Would've sent them for promise of a future beer to someone in need.

How did it occur that the bozo got off the with the parts?  Just the simple he-had-access-and-took-it kind of thing or was there animosity before it had ever gotten that far?  

Doesn't really matter in the end though.  The guy is a bike down and needs to get it going.  Woul've gladly sent the guts just to get it going.  They weren't do me any good under the bench.  And getting a guy running is again is more important anyway.  A buddy here that high sided WAI (without appropriate insurance) got my take set of exhaust and a couple other pieces just a couple weeks ago for the same reason.  You know the old saying, "A friend in need is a whiney sumbitch until his bike is running again."

       Near as I can tell, the Fat Lady hasn't sung yet on Mr. Shop owner and the bad end of this deal. Not really a topic for a public forum. The focus (my focus) is on getting Mike back on the road. Believe me he has some friends who can help out with his - - -- - er - - - ah - - um - - - "legal" issues LOL

Spiderman, I will have a gearset available, no case though, when we pull the set out of crash. Hope to do this the first weekend in Nov.

Here's a set getting ready to end on ebay: item #140045216869.  They're at $100 + S&H with 1 hr left.  You should be able to get a gearset cheap.  I'm checking with a freind who has a set, but I'm not sure he'll think it's worth it to get rid of them.
