What to do, what to do?
« on: September 15, 2013, 07:01:42 PM »

Those 14's are really cool.
They are calling me.
But I have resisted.
The 2011.5 took us to Ribfest in May and the 110th this year and it's hardly broke in with 18,000 + miles.
And the colors of the 2011.5 are an opposite match of the 2012 SERGC. And as Judy knows I like those blues.
So what to do?
I gave in, when I saw the 14 CVO Limited in blue I liked it but really liked the tail light.
So $40+ K for a 14 or $140.00 for a 2014 tail light.
Dang, I just saved 39,860.00+ dollars.
I like it, looks cool and matches the lights on the tour pack.
I call that a win-win!
What you think?

Plug and Play.

I seen the Blue at demo days.  It sure did look very close to the 11.5

But a money saver for sure.

Trade in the 11 and get the 14. The updates are worth it.

You have to admit it's a mighty fine lookin' taillight.  :2vrolijk_21:

Thanks CHIP, there goes another $140...
The '14 light does look much better than the previous LED tailight from HD - which I now HAVE to replace...This is getting to be an expensive place to hang out sometimes  :huepfenlol2:

I wasn't going to mention that.
I have had a HD LED on the 11.5 for 2 1/2 years now but this 14 light was calling me.
So now I have a spare.
Something else to put on the shelf.

HEY, but have I mentioned you have a beautiful bike!

And judging by your photos it will look even better once I get one of those tailights.

Yes, another parts for the "spare" pile. I just finished installing the comfort profile saddlebag guards today and the Brukus hardware..
At least I know what I'll be doing next - probably before I head down your way next week - meeting up with 30 or so coworkers from the company I work for for a few days riding/socializing. We are all booked at the Fontana Lodge for the week (9/23-9/27)

Chip, you are a model of frugality and restraint.   :D

Just be honest, tho.  Was the real reason you didn't come home with that new bike attached to the LED tail light because you've run out of room in your garage?  JUST BUILD A BIGGER GARAGE!

Nice tail light.. I'm thinking about the same thrifty purchase for my '13.. and maybe even save some more money by adding the day makers too  :bananarock:
