I put an adjustable tour pack on my CVO and slid it back 4". Gives us lots of room. We also put the arm rest on. We have a 2013. Went with the Kryankan brand. Not willing to take a hit on price. So I will continue to enjoy mine. Had it Dyno tuned and dropped heat by 30 degrees. At he York open house this weekend. We left Amarillo a week ago. I have 20k on bike and love it.

Beautiful bike! :2vrolijk_21:

Amarillo Jim, did you have to change any wiring when you moved your tourpack back 4 inches? Thanks CAHDBIKER

Go with your gut as long as your wallet agrees.  :nixweiss:

I agree, as long as your wallet agrees get whatever moves you, I still have my 11 blue cvo ultra as in my opinion it is the best color ever made & me & the wife love it. I will have it until they build another one that just grabs me when I look at it.

That's EXACTLY how my wife and I feel. We LOVE our Ruby Red SG and just haven't seen anything even remotely moving. Maybe in 2015  :nixweiss:

Swapping the floorboards from one side to the other and a George Anderson tourpak relocator would have taken about an hour and well under $200...but now you can get the Steamin' Eagle version with the infotainment center.  Sounds like a costly exchange considering how long you have had your bike.  How much did you get for the '13?

I agree. Buy what you like and what you are comfortable paying for. If you like all the chrome, 110 motor, etc. , then buy a CVO. I had a '03 Road King that I stuck a lotta of $$ into, and when I traded it it in for my '12 CVO Ultra, I lost all of that. They just considered it a used Road King, so my point is, the CVO will always be worth more when you want to sell or trade. If you deck out with chrome and motor work on a Ultra Limited, you probably will lose any money you put into it. Just my experience and opinion.

I think you made the right choice on three counts;

1) Since I've owned my 12 FLHTCUSE7 (1st CVO), I could not buy another Harley that was not a CVO, because I love all that you get with the CVO, down to the small details, custom paint, special treatement of the (110) motor finish, etc.

2) I've seen the red CVO limited up close, and absolutely love it!  Another good reason for me to stay away from the dealerships.

3) The 2014 CVO Limited has so many upgrades in terms of performance technology, it is well worth (in comparison) the increase in costs over the pre-14's.  The lighting upgrade alone probably makes up the difference.

I just traded for a 2014 blue cvo ultra. I have to say I love it so far. :2vrolijk_21: Traded my 2012 ultra limited with 25000 miles on it. I love the infotainment system it might have some quirks but the sound is so much better than 2012 model. Also the ride is night day different and the pull of the 110 motor is great for 2 up riding.  Even with the new cam change to 255 for the new ultra limited is still not even close to the 110.

My buddy just bought a 2014 limited and is 3000 grand away  :o from just buying the cvo since all the upgrade he did to it so far. With all the chrome and other stuff he put on it he could have went cvo.

He tells me I should have just bought a cvo with all the money I spent.

Yeah it pains me to watch ppl slip all that $$ into the extras and still come up short. Unless you are buying a wrecked bike and building from the ground up, the CVO is just the best value IMO. Never hard to sell the bike and they maintain a very respectable resale.

The only problem I see with a cvo is after you buy the first one it is impossible to go back down the hill, they just do not compare. Just my opinion though
