I have a friend who enjoyed his CVO Ultra for many years.  When the 13's came out he wasn't crazy about the CVO colours and decided to buy a Limited with 6 years of technology built into it compared to his older CVO.  After spending more than $7k trying to make it as nice as his CVO, he has now realized he should have waited for a CVO in the colour that he likes.  Unfortunately for him, when he went to trade in the '13 Limited (with only 4,000 miles on the dial) on a "14 CVO Limited the dealer only offered him $2k less than base MSRP he paid for it... Couldn't justify taking a $9k hit on a 5 month old bike, so still has his 13 Limited.

We all take hits on our trades, but when you add to a bike there isn't much value on the extras when trading it.  So if you like the goodies, buy the bike that comes stock with them and you should fair better in the long run.  JMHO.

The only problem I see with a cvo is after you buy the first one it is impossible to go back down the hill, they just do not compare. Just my opinion though
The only problem after you buy the first CVO is you want another one.  Then once you have two, you want a third.

If you trade bikes every couple years and like all the bells, CVO is the best way to go.

That's never going to be a problem for me I can't afford one without selling the other  :nixweiss:

Just picked up my 14 yesterday and swapped the passenger floor boards , I now have lots of room to maneuver the bike. Thanks for the tip.
