I had a Thundermax on a '07 Flht and was happy with it although it did drift over to the rich side a couple of times. Not sure what caused it, but it would correct pretty quickly.

Nothing is "better" than a talented person tuning it on a dyno period!

I use autotunes all the time on lots of different systems.  I also tune a couple of cars only on a dyno.  I no longer take on new systems without an autotune with data logging.

The trick is knowing when the autotune is getting the wrong answer.  I much prefer letting a computer bit bang a 1/2 million lines of data.

I agree with Andy. I use auto tune as well and get really good results. Would not say better than a Dyno but very useable. Also agree that sometimes auto tune needs to be overridden. On my 2008 FLHT, I get reversion with the exhaust I use. It would mess up the O2 sensor readings at low throttle. I always needed to manually set the VEs there or it would detune itself in that range.

The best thing I have done was to set up the Vision tuner and Auto tuner just record the run and let tool do the work and gets it right then just save the tune. it works like a charm. The bike has never run better!                     :cherry:

After you let the tuner do it thing. do you just safe the data and go on. Or do you retune every now and then. I guess what Im asking is it a one time tune unless you change something on the engine.

No a computer cannot replace a good tuner, period! However, I have a Powervision and with the help of Brian and Jamie at Fuelmoto my bike runs great with a smooth AFR.

Same here with the Power Vision.  Smooth, cool, no pinging ride with 42 mpg.  And im sure you would get that with the TTS too.  Im just using the PV now.

Not quite.  Magneti Marelli (often just called M&M or Marelli) is the OE supplier for what was Harley's first generation of fuel injection.  It's not pre-fuel injection it is the fuel injection that is pre-Delphi.
