In my experience with these types of products, I would guess that the micro finish product is for a bit more noticable scratches, and the Spider is for those fine scratches that are part of the territory on dark paint jobs.

My bikes have all had the polish on them...the stuff really works, and really is different than anything else I've used.  My bike was so dirty, and I had used some bug remover on the fairing, so it was probably hard to tell what my paint really looked like.  The stuff is great on chrome too, and has a high temperature rating, so works great on the heat shields and exhausts.  The leather stuff is good too....doesn't make the leather "shiney" but soaks in well for a good treatment.  A little goes a long way.

Have been a big fan of the Honda Cleaner/Polish for a long time as it was recommended by my dealer.  They own 3 Harley Dealerships and a good sized Honda m/c facility. Having found that Honda endorsed/offers the Glare Polish and Wash under the Pro line, I called the Honda dealer and they told me they would order it, but had not received any request/interest in the product.  Also called a large Honda Dealer in Charleston, and they too had not offered it due to lack of interest.  Maybe it's just a new product that hasn't had time to catch on yet.  The Honda offerings are supposedly the same product as offered directly on Glare site though Honda's price is a bit less.

I'm close to ordering some from Glare or the Honda dealer, but [highlight]would appreciate any comments you or others would have to help me decide if this product is as good as it sounds[/highlight].  Also wondering if the molecular bond it supposedly creates would interfere with doing some minor touch up paint work in case of a nick or scratch.

WV...no problem with hijacking, it happens all the time here and I'm done with the other problem anyway.

I "discovered" the Glare products back in April, but didn't get to use it until June, when I got my bike.  I think Big Daddy also got some and has used it as well.  I have tried almost every product imaginable for polishing/waxing my toys over the years, and can say without any reservation that this is absolutely the best I've ever used.  The application process is a bit different, in that the first "coat" needs to be rubbed into the paint until it almost completely disappears, then the finish coat is applied and allowed to haze over like other products.  If you will review the Webikeworld links mentioned above, it gives a good description of the process and the results.  It is the only product I've ever used that gave the finish that "wet" look and depth I've always been looking for in a polish.  I have also read/heard that Honda offered the product under a different name, but I just got mine from the manufacturer.  A little goes a long way, so a bottle of it will last a long, long time.  I use it on the paint, chrome, and the windshield.  I also use the leather treatment, wash, and tire dressing.  The tire dressing does not make the tires "shine" like other products, but just makes it look like clean rubber, plus it seems to last longer.  In case you can't tell, I'm sold on the product...

With regards to removing it for touch up work, an alcohol/water solution seems to work well, so you could probably use a Q-tip to treat the area you are going to touch up prior to doing the work.

If you're wondering if this is what caused my piece not to stick well to the fender, I don't think it had anything to do with it, as when I wiped the area with the alcohol solution, there was a difference in the finish, so it appeared to be "clean" before applying the fender spear.  It stuck extremely well at all other points than the front tip, so I think I just got a bad sticky part on the point of the piece of chrome.

Terry, thanks for the info.  I didn't see the other link, originally.  I ended up ordering the "Concourse Kit" which comes with both the Spider and Micro-Finish, as well as the Professional Polish.

I think you're probably right about the Micro-Finish.  I'll give the Spider a try first and anything it doesn't remove, I'll try the Micro-Finish on.

What kind of detailer do you guys use in combination with the Glare polishes?  It doesn't look like they have one. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  Seems like they're missing out on an opportunity . . . . . everyone's makin' a detail spray these days!

I got the Glare Spider and tried it out on all the dark surfaces on my bike.  This chit is amazing!!!  Brian, you saw the fine scratches on my right bag lid at MV...they were more than just "swirl" marks.  After using this stuff on them, you have to REALLY look hard to see any remnants, and the light angle has to be just right to even see that.  The fairing and tank look like you could reach into the paint and get your fingers wet.  I'm probably going to get some of the Micro too, for those inevitable things that will happen if you ride, but a big  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] on the Glare Spider.
