Anyone find a pair of heated grips that works for the Breakout. The Harley catalogue conflicts as it states it fits the Breakout but later states not with internally wired handlebars.

I'm confused and need advice.

IMHO, heated grips aren't the best choice.  I think you would be best off buying heated gloves and a dual controller.  That way you can add a vest or jacket line down the road.  Also, LSHD1.com sells the Harley heated gear at discounted prices.  The Harley gear is made by Gerbing anyhow.

From what I have read, especially in the touring forums, the heated grips are not only pricey, but tend to fail.  For ~$200, that's a big gamble, especially since they have little to no warranty.

Also, with heated grips, the installs still do show some wiring, even if internally wired.

If you're set on heated grips, check out Heat Demons.  Cheaper and a more reliable product.

+1       Heat demons are the ticket !!  Had them on two previous bikes, loved them.
