Radar detector and laser jammer
« on: September 28, 2013, 09:14:17 PM »

Looking for a few winter projects and one is to get a radar detector plus laser jammer installed.

Does anyone have pictures or recommendations?

I plan on routing the sound in to the headset via blue tooth.

I'm also planning a similar set that you are looking at.  I got some info from Radar Roy's web site, he also has a pamphlet that he will e-mail free.  I like the idea of having a radar system but without the jammer set up it may give you a false sense of security.  If a Leo is using the laser gun & you don't utilise a jammer it's over.  But it may also be the never ending game of purchasing items to keep up with the latest technology that law enforcement uses to catch us.  Right now I'm looking into the radar system that can be moved to another bike or an automobile. The jammer is expensive but if you want to have the most protection it may be the way to go.  But we all know technology does not stand still so a large investment could be worthless in a short amount of time or it could last longer as departments have to watch their budgets.  There is a lot to know to be invisible.  I have been very lucky so far but that could change tomorrow, who knows.

Please keep us posted on your research.

For those thinking/planning on using a laser jammer, you may want to take a look at this website.  I wonder if LEO has the capability to know if he is being jammed and if he knows who is doing the jamming.  Just something to think about.

The LEO will suspect that the Lidar gun is being jammed if they don't get a reading. Laser jammers are legal except for in 11 states so there is nothing they can do in WI for example.

IL is another game, they can give you a $50.00 ticket and confiscate the jammer. (Normally just cut the cord and take the heads) so you can always opt to turn it off in the states there it is illegal or use them as parking sensors, which is legal in every state  :coolblue:
