45 AMP Rotor
« on: November 01, 2006, 09:40:55 PM »

I have 2005 FLHTSE2. The factory service manual says the FLHTCI, FLHTCUI and FLHTRI models only have the 45 AMP High Out Put rotor. I just had the rotor replaced in mine and the part number indicates they installed the 38 AMP rotor. Is the Screaming Eagle supposed to have the 38 AMP or 45 AMP rotor?

Thanks for your help.

My 04 SEEG had a 38amp that I replaced with a 45amp rotor. Wife likes her plug in electric clothing. I believe the 05 where the same,  I know the 06's are bigger.

Parts manual for the 05s shows 29981-95, 38 amp rotor.  It keeps up with the radio, amplifier, my heated jacket and gloves and the Corbin heated seat.  But that's all.  In fact sometimes I'll even turn off the spot lights to let it breathe easier (so to speak).  If I had a passenger with heated clothes also would have to upgrade the charging system.
