T.P. relo kit
« on: November 02, 2006, 12:16:41 AM »

Has anyone installed the Geo. Anderson TP relo kit on an '04?
If so, how about some pics?
I ordered one & it looks like it won't fit w/ my hardware without major mods.

I'll call George in the morning, just wanted to see if anybody here had done it.

Thanks in advance.

I think I must have a different TP bracket than you had, I checked w/ the dealer & the ones the sell now are completely different. Mines made out of tubular steel, w/ a flat plate for the TP to bolt to. I don't use the "channels" on the TP like the new hardware does. The mounting points are different too, my front ones mount just behind the shocks. There's no way this relo kit will fit w/ my existing hardware. Hmmmmmmmmm.......further investigation is in order.

The detachable bracket changed from the 04 to the 05 model year.  But it was the bracket that changed.  Different shape to solve a small cracking issue.  The mounting pattern of the holes that hold the pak to the bracket stayed the same.  Bungy, not sure what you got going on there.

Here's a pic. The newer style mounts in the "channells" circled, do they not?
Maybe I'm all piled up on this one.

For comparison here is the bottom of the 05 red bike's chopped pak.

And here is the King Pak.  Only minor structural differences in the fiberglass body but the same mount on each.
