What's it worth... today?
« on: November 03, 2006, 11:50:11 AM »

I tried to search here first to see if there's any answer out there, but I couldn't find it if it is, so I'll ask.

I am thinking to start looking for a 2006 FLHTCUSE.

In mint condition, low miles (1-5K), and pretty much stock - what is it worth? What should I expect to pay for one?

Thanks for your feedback/opinions.

The Stealer here in New Symrna have one that was on the floor for biketoberfest and they wanted 33,800 lowest they would go.  It did have pipes, air cleaner, chrome primary and 3k miles, but I figured for 600 dollars more I could have a new 07.

RossMeyer will continue to sell at these rediculous prices until the idiots stop paying it.  You need to call around and find out who the MSRP Dealers are in Florida here you have Gainseville, Tampa Harley, Clermont they are 1000 over but in that 1000 include frieght, setup (PDI) and first service so they are really only tacking on 300 bucks to the price, there are others like Treasure Coast also great to deal with.  I had my best luck at Curly's in Winston Salem NC.

Two weeks ago Brothers HD, Branford, Ct. 203-315-4759 had a brand new 06 Haze on the floor at MSRP. Probably cost $600 to ship to Tampa

Is it possible the 06's are a better buy than the 07's?  At a local dealer over the weekend and there were several riders with 07's (no CVO's) but complaints about the trannys etc.  Guess every year will have something to complain about.

There's a brand new Melon at Riders Harley Davidson in Trussville, AL just northeast of Birmingham.  It still has the customer removal stickers on it, the battery disconnected, and all the goodies in their plastic bags...........and unless they come of their $34,500 asking price, it'll probably stay just like that.  You never know tho.  I understand Riders is very difficult to deal with on bike prices.  Apparently they are of the faith that someone will buy it.........and they may be right........but it won't be anyone I know.

Binghamton, NY Harley Davidson has a 2004 SE, 2005 SE & a 2006 SE Ultra on the floor all usewd of course....fair prices...the 2006 is the Charcoal & Slate color.

Chambersburg, PA has a 2006 Haze SE Ultra for $29,500 on the floor with 3500 miles on it.

Call around, you will find a great deal if you are willing to travel....snow is starting to fall in the North East so look for deals.

killjoy,
sold mine with 3,116 miles, Rineharts, Ness Big Sucker & SERT in absolute perfect condition for $29,100.00. HD wanted to give me $26K on trade and I saw one recently here in the Pittsburgh suburbs for $31K with 1K miles and no mods & it's still sittin' there!

After seeing the 2007 SERK, I considered selling mine...I found a market between 28,000 and 35,000...depending on the extras....the sert, and stage one seemed to bring a premium, while the chrome upgrades really counted for nothing...my advise is:
1) Decide if this is the bike you want
2) If so, set a price cap and start looking
3) Be patient...eventually you will find someone that spent more than he should have and just wants out from under the payments...then it is time to deal.

Good luck, I love mine and as beautiful as the 07 SERKs are, I am keeping my Haze(l).

Was at the new Destination HD in Daytona during Biketoberfest - they were selling the 2007 Ultra SE's at $10000 over list ... at a rate of 1 of these bikes per day!!!  I'm from PA and paid $0 over list and told them that.  They said that the dealers up our way were crazy for selling at list.  I told them that our dealers aren't into ripping off their good customers.

There's a charcoal/slate colored SEUC on consignment at Corpus Christi HD. It belongs to somebody from HD with the title of Area Manager or something like that. The tag hanging on it says $32K. Looks to be stock.

We should'nt knock these guys at Destination HD...during huricane Katrina they flew in food and much needed supplys and distributed them among the needy Highest bidders.

Bet they even repackaged the Kraft Mac an Cheese and called it Bruce Rossmeyer's Mac an Cheese.

Since I had to head back to Dago before the big weekend of Biketoberfest, I asked my buddy Animal to pick me up a Razorback's CD from Bank and Blues while they were there. Knowing how much I dislike Fat Bastard, Animal "repackaged" my Razorback's CD so that it was Bruce Rossmeyer's Razorbacks. Man that got me goin. I had promised to send Animal $20 if he picked me up a copy, so I took the photo of Fat Bastard on the repackaged CD and sized it to Washington's photo on the $1 bill and made up 20 Bruce Bucks and sent them off to Animal. He called me when he got the envelope and we laughed for an hour together. He said he's gonna go out to Fat Bastard's place and ask them if they accept Bruce Bucks. Should be interesting since the SOB's got his fat ugly face plastered on more billboards than Pedro. How anybody that ugly can be so narcissistic is beyond me.
