Help 2010, 2011, or 2012
« on: October 14, 2013, 04:24:43 PM »

I'm trying to help my dad get a used Softail Convertible.
Can anyone take the time to explain the differences between the year models for me?
From what I can gather the 12 has an updated windshield and Nav?
The 11's and 12's have the mini apes? What other differences are there between year models?
This is the first time I have looked at the CVO Softail Conv
Thanks

The single largest and most important difference is the electrical systems.  The 2010 model has the old horse-and-buggy electrical system, and the 2011-2012 have the modern CAN bus system (called HDLAN by H-D).
