Thanks for the feedback Bham and Chief.  I do not doubt the validity of the Corbin, and narrower may actually be better for me.  In looking at doing surgery on the foam it looks like what I want to do would leave a lot of slack in the leather thus making it look like crud when done, so slicing and dicing may not be an option here anyway.  Plus Harley has the heating element glued to the foam instead of attached to the cover so that poses a problem too.  Further inspecting the seat pan and how it sits on the bike I found that the pan is flimsy at best and the section directly under the seating area has no support what so ever.  It's floating free above the battery and free to flex.  I have already cut a small piece of wood and set it under the seat so that the seat pan is supported when put back in place.  If the Atlanta weather cooperates this weekend, I will get a chance to try it out although I'm not hopeful.

Ironically, I have a Sundowner seat on my Deuce and I can go all day on that thing with no tailbone problems.  That seat certainly does not feel like it is pitching my pelvis and the foam is definitely harder than the CUSE seat.

Thanks Chief.  I wouldn't mind checking it out at least to examine the cut and support.  This weekend is not looking promising unless someone comes out with studded tires.  Or maybe I can catch you on a ride somewhere.  I ride with a SCRC group out of Canton.

Ok guys, Any updates on the Corbin.  I put a Sunray on mine and that fixed my problem but it created a problem with my wife's butt.  I just can't win.  Everyone still happy?

My butt gets sore no matter what seat I'm on, but I still like my Corbin.

Jeorge, when I was in Fl at your house, I remember saying that I thought your seat was VERY hard. I am sorry that it is not comfortable but now that I have my own, I like it.

AJ- Actually AJ logged in as hard10 - the real one.

Jeorge, have you notified Corbin to have them re-work it for you to try and smooth out any rough spots?  May help.

I've got 12.5k on my bike now - 3.5k of that on the Posse Ride with the stock seat. I've got no problems or complaints.  Just lucky I guess but it seems to fit my butt fine.
