Can anyone recommend a good trickle charger/battery tender for 2013 CVO Breakout?

There are many.  Most do the same job.  Commonly used good piece is the "Battery Tender" brand from Deltran.

X2 on the Battery Tender - I'm pretty sure it's cheaper than Harley's

Like twolane said, they all do the same job. He also mentioned, IMO, the best. "Battery Tender" by Deltran. I've been using them for years on every thing from a lawnmower to a dual battery diesel truck. Got 4 of them and have never let me down. Will double the life of your battery.

Been using a Battery Tender Jr since I got my last bike in fall of 07. I left the ignition on the other night while listening to radio. Was cleaning the chrome and covered the bike. Disconnected my mp3 player and forgot about switch. Battery is finally DEAD. Tender ain't gonna revive this one. BatteryMart will deliver tomorrow. Had I not left on the ignition on who knows how long I would've gotten out of it. But I do know it helped this one last a long time.

29.95 at any batteries plus store. They all do the same thing. They all have the same plug connector and most come with plug and alligator clips( comes in handy for your riding lawnmower.)

OK, how about having the bike on a trickle charge, while under a cover in the garage??  worried about vapors and venting.  Thinking about using the CVO cover that came with the bike...  thoughts??

First, you don't want a "trickle" charger, you want a modern "smart" charger.  Trickle chargers will continue to charge at the same rate even when the battery is fully charged, and you don't want that.  Smart chargers sense the battery's state of charge and automatically adjust the charge rate, and once the battery reaches full charge they go into a float mode.

As for the cover, I store my bike every winter under the cover and keep my battery tender hooked up the entire time.  It's not a problem at all with the AGM batteries and a smart charger, there is no venting to worry about.

Should be able to pick this up from Jerry's response above, but if not Battery Tender = smart charger.

I would X2 that and go further to say that my bike stays under the cover and hooked up to the battery tender whenever it's parked... and we all know (at least think) it stays parked a lot. ::) :P ;D

I use the HD smart charger, when parked for a long time.  I also use the smart charger while it is covered.
